My goal, for this blog for the next week, is to get in every day with something short. As many of you know, I'm leaving Friday for a six-week trip that will take me to France, to visit my in-laws and daughter, and then to Nepal where I have eWork as an eRider in technology transfer. Hey, I'm getting good at being succinct about that! I should also say that lots of YOU have helped make this trip possible: I'd like to say a very big THANK YOU to these great people, who have invested in Worlds Touch and in our work in Nepal. There are others, also, some who read LiveJournal and some who don't, who have contributed their "time, talent and treasure" to this venture. Our board of directors is now at 100 per cent in contributing to the cause. There are even one or two donors who might be considered somewhat thin in the financial department but who believe in what we're doing. Here are the other wonderful folks who have contributed to Worlds Touch since we started in January, 2005! The Rotary Club of Jamestown, NC Gilda Martinez Marisa McGlue James and Netta Windle Sarah Gomez David and Mimi Williams Jackie and Paul Coates Willard Suttles Jo Ann Owings Nar Thapaliya David Walker Charles Stout Karl Kunkel Robert Ponzoni Caitlin Williams There are also those who gave me their stuff for the yard sale! Jo Ann Owings Gennie Kirby Jackie and Paul Coates David and Mimi Williams Carole Weatherford Betsey Griffith Jackie and Paul's friends Just look at that list! I'm both amazed and also humbled by the generosity of my friends. I'll be thinking of each and every one as I stumble through airports and the fog of jet lag, and then slowly get my bearings again in the Kingdom of Nepal, where important work with the poorest folks in the country is going on, and our partner, Lumanti: Support Group for Shelter is making a difference in their lives.
